The Kenai River runs from Kenai Lake on the east of the Kenai Peninsula, to the Cook Inlet on the west side of the peninsula. There are many ways and places to fish on this great river, but it is almost useless to just “pull over and throw a line in the water”. In fact, you may encounter several problems like 1) Fishing out of season, 2) Fishing in a closed area, or 3) Fishing from private property. Therefore, we’ve gathered a few facts that can make your fishing venture more enjoyable, and maybe even help you catch some Sockeye Salmon.
